Why Choose Us when using PVC?
Innovation. Resiliency. Sustainability. Performance.
In addition to being a certified dealer for numerous single-ply membrane manufacturers, one of the top PVC membranes that we trust for long term performance is the Sika brand. The Sika organization offers unique PVC options. A high end PVC (Sarnafil) that can last 30 years, or a rugged economical PVC that prices at the TPO level. The Simulated-Metal Roofing System (DECOR) has all of the benefits of a adhered roof, along with the appearance of a standing seam roof.

The Décor Roofing System combines Sika’s G410 thermoplastic single-ply roofing membrane with Décor profiles to give the appearance of a standing seam metal roof and thanks to its watertight seams, the durability of this system is unmatched. It is one of the only roofing systems of this type that includes warranty coverage for the hot-air welded ribs that give the roof the appearance of metal.
60 years ago, we started with one mission, to produce the industry’s longest lasting, most resilient PVC roofing and waterproofing membrane and today that mission hasn’t changed. Flat Roof “ponding water” Project
These building owners had no idea of the massive amounts of water collecting on their roof. They knew they had leaks but needed a professional to assess their roof. This liability called “roof ponding” can weight several tons and cause massive damage. After showing them the pics and calculating the excessive weight on their flat roof they decided to protect their investment with a new tapered PVC membrane roof. We brought them up to code and gave them peace of mind.
Tons of water on top of roof could not drain due to ponding. Ponding water is no longer acceptable in the industry or by the International Code Council. Ponding water can have a negative effect on any of today’s roofing systems and should be avoided at all times.
Over the years, many questions have been asked concerning ponding water and what type of long-term effect this water has on a roof. One of the biggest concerns can be weight; ponding water weighs approximately 5 lbs. per inch, per each square foot of roof surface. For example, a 30’x30′ ponding area at 1″ deep would equal 900 total square feet at 5 lbs. per foot, or a roof live weight of nearly 5,000 pounds! That can be an additional F-150 pick-up truck of live roof load adding stress to your building’s roof!
The above roof had more than 75’x35′ at 2-3″ deep in some areas. You do the math….
